was totally off blogging for quite a while now.. plannin to pick it up again.. :)

btw... some news..
FINALLY got into ISB.. indian school of business.. hyderabad..
so goin back to school.

kinda excited... kinda scared..
the feelin is still sinkin in... but im sure its gonna be a hell of an experience!!
have heard that the program is quite rigorous... but a lot of fun!
so am banking on it to lose my laziest-person-on-this-freakin-planet tag.. :P

my humble beginnings...

been quite some time since i posted anything on the blog... haven't accessed the net too much since the last time i blogged...

and frankly... maan... keeping to blogging is quite a task!!! i must say... you really need to be dedicated to keep posting... :|

so... i'm gonna more than compensate for that now... :)
found some photographs of my long lost love... my first escapade into music... the band that used to rock!!! and still capable enough...



that's my college band... BANDWIDTH!!!

we had the most immense talent hapenning at that time... a very effective mix of people with different musical tastes... but the same musical background... none... :D

hmmm... ok...
lemme introduce the band to you guys...

SHANTANU LELE (the big guy with the baby in his arms)
- vocals, guitars, djembe, flute
- influences - creed, dave matthews band (??), 4 non blondes (?????), bone thugs n harmony (???!!!! what the f**k!!!!)

ANKUSH WADHERA (the sweet chocolate boy with some sheet in his hand)
- vocals, guitars, djembe
- influences - bryan adams, lucky ali, saigon kick, anything soft and sensuous... ;)

RAHUL MUKERJI (the baby in shantanu's arms)
- guitars, bass, harmonica, bansuri, banjo (or whatever that small 4-string thing is called... :|)
- influences - cradle of filth, cannible corpse, children of bodom, dimmu borgir, al de meola, john mclaughlin, mattias ia eklundh... weird-ass!!!

KARAN GUPTA (the guy with specs on my right side)
- guitars, bass, keyboards, djembe, harmonica, anything else... :)
- influences - john denver, bob dylan, brian silas, mostly into soft stuff...

PRATIK KUMAR (that's me looking like an ape in the photo...)
- guitar, bass, drums, djembe, harmonica
- influences - nirvana, pantera, deep purple, metallica, led zepplin, incubus, megadeth, black sabbath... quite varied actually... :|

my training days in infy... :)

i joined infy pune in march'04...

it was a great feeling joining this place... you know... proud parents... impressed relatives... but one thing was for sure...

life was not going to be easy after that.......

infy has these 2-3 months trainings every new joinee has to go through... very professional... very difficult... i knew i would have to do a lot of night-outs during my training (this term is very misleading actually... it sounds like a friends/booze/sutte/charas/ganja kinda night... :) but actually... it means staying up all night... studying (what the hell!!!))...

but we had our ways of compensating for it... :D:D



some of us took extreme measures...



and the hard work paid off well!!! we were not fired... :| (grinn)

moments of ecstacy for 5 people tied down by their boring cliched jobs who got together to 'have fun'... :)



and thus was formed 'the chameleon'... (that's the name of my band... :D:D)

it was our debut stage performance... and it was phenominal!!! (atleast i think so..)
we were having the best time of our respective lives right there!!!

we did 6 covers:
- born to be wild (steppenwolf)
- my sharona (the knack)
- ytse jam (dream theater)
- seven impossible days (mr. big)
- n.i.b. (black sabbath)
- burn (deep purple)

and we rocked!! :) got a live feed on 'headlines today' and 'aaj tak' (news channels)... a good review on 'rock herald'... couldn't ask for anything more... :D

i've finally got this freakin' thing running!!! :)
actually... it wasn't too difficult!! i must have been doing something wrong earlier... :|

anyways... lemme 'elaborate' a bit on my life now.
the name's 'talli'....... p... k... talli... (dumbest thing i've said in my life!! :D)
i'm a software engineer from pune (what??) and working with a software company in bangalore (obviously!!!)...

i have a very simple aim in life...
retire by 40 as a billionaire... and then make music and chill... (sigh!!! whats the harm in imagining guys??? dreams don't cost s***:D:D)

i'll take you guys through this 'hopefully' extraordinary life of mine through this blog...
so keep watchin!!!
